Hello AoC community. I just discovered AoC and I am really excited to see what it will become. I have been looking for a new game that I can hopefully enjoy and sink time into. My first MMO was Asheron's Call in 1999 and after it finally closed down earlier this year I haven't been able to find anything to replace it. Every free MMORPG ends up turning into some P2W garbage and I haven't been interested in WoW since they released MoP. I am looking forward to becoming a part of this community and I hope AoC can satisfy my MMORPG craving.

I think you'll find that most of us here are thinking Ashes may be "the next one," for us too.
Stick around for the ride, and we'll all find out together!
@Rumbleforge It was off and on throughout the years but it was definitely the best MMORPG I had ever played.
Welcome! I never played AC, but I really hope that your dedication for your past MMO is something that is easily translated to Ashes, we're all rather of the same hope ilk as yourself, that this is the one.
Fingers crossed, now lets rolll!
Welcome!
I heartily agree on the p2w thing being aggravating. Even most f2p games that aren't p2w end up focusing too heavily on cash shop stuff instead of game content. I usually end up rolling my eyes when a friend tells me "Come play this game! It's free!"
I'm hoping so hard that Ashes breaks the view most people have about sub-based games, too. So many people won't touch them because it actually costs money monthly. Some of those same people then spend much more in a cash shop anyway, and it's just silly.
How are you? Nice to meet you and welcome to our community
If Intrepid Studios make all things they want to, i'm sure this game will be epic
