    I haven't really given a lot of thought to the idea that they may not be gamers. I better start preparing myself for that contingency!
    Sadly, neither of my daughters are gamers, though I brought them up well. *sniffs* 'Tis a tragedy, to be certain.

    I can't sympathize about the kids, having none of my own (family name dies with me!) but I imagine if I had some they'd be my own personal gold farmers.

    Set them up in accounts and tell them to have at it!

    I have 3 kids. (14, 11 and 9) All of which love gaming. Of course, they mainly play minecraft, roblox, terraria and ark...but at least they are gaming! My wife walks out, she sees me on my desktop, all 3 of our children on their laptops...she shakes her head and attempts to preach to me about technology. That is rather ironic, considering my career.

    I have a ten year old daughter. She and I will play Ashes together (I will be playing an alt when we play) She is a rabid mincraft player etc. She has a laptop but her iPad gets the most use. I have been playing computer games for around 40 years I would guess. My husband is a serious gamer also. He won't touch Ashes with a 50 foot pole (hates mmog). So.... hopefully today I will pick up something for my daughter while increasing my backing for my account. 
    But first... get my daughter off to the last day of school and shop for quilting fabric. lol

    Lol Yes, I guess so. Well, one of them is anyway. The other is a 5440. The desktop is a 3000 series. There is also a surface book pro 4 in my lap not pictured.

I have no problems with them really, it's the program they need to run on them which makes me want to tear my hair out. I mean... no reason I need to be accessing my SQL databases because specific xml 1.1 hexadecimals aren't recognized in the tables :angry:

    I know the feeling. I have been trying to get them to change for forever. Problem with being in IT? Most places see us as a money drain. All we do is spend, spend, spend. They won't gimmeh

    Our company used to be that way.  But we're finally in a place where the business is seeing how IT can benefit them with various tools and business intelligence.  We were just recently ranked #4 in the large company category for Computer World's "2017 Best Places To Work In IT".
