[NA] Fangs of Arcadia - Roleplay PvP Guild

Guild Charter: This is an RP guild that tries to be inclusive and aware of its dealings with non-rpers. Some of the races which have some to these lands are primal in nature, and share certain animistic qualities. Through a form of unity they will stand united against the forces which would corrupt and consume the spirit of the land. Instead they seek to overwhelm their enemies in a verdant supremacy. PvP will be an important aspect to the RP and make training a part of the daily life by default. We are primitive in spirit but that doesn't have to stop us from being progressive either; just with finesse. What type of node we will be really depends on how the divine one is handled. Military is one option for the tribalistic feel, and science is another for an interesting route (though we'd have to discuss the democractic nature of it, and how to fit it into this premise). Oligarchy is the only one I really can't see at all. Someting druidic would be ideal, but I think that's not promised at the moment but in discussion as to how it would be handled. (so be advised it might just arbitrarily become that someday).

For this to work though, we have to hold a high standard to our abilities to fight as a team. 8 player teams means that you can handpick your 'gang' of regulars in an individual party. My goal is to have teams where the players intuitively know what their team members will do in a given situation, and create a sense of trust that it will get handled properly. (Which I think for general partying voice would not be used for this reason, to train ourselves to fit the team or get shuffled to a new one). Raids might be another story, we'll see (can't really custom tailor a 40 person team that way).

Arcadia is a fabled city in a land of dreams. While the name is symbolic of the places we've all gathered from (another life, another time, with the portals) we will probably all share some symbol of unity (a tattoo if they add that, otherwise a color of a clothing item or something). We want to create more than just a guild, but a sub culture that is symbolic of our guild as an rp unit. Personalized to us but also lore friendly. (And we may have to modify stuff as more lore gets revealed).

The Fangs of Arcadia have a few systems of hierarchy within. 4 immutable pillars that bind the Fangs together, represented on each side of a carved stone obelisk:

  1. Honor the Fallen (a list of names of the honorable departed)

  2. Honor the Living (a tracking of reputation for the living. This is done by having gatherings where the guild's bards would recount tales of glory among the members. The elders would then decide if that merits note or not. This will be one of the primary guild mechanics in challenging for rank and position; based on how high the position is relative to where you are and so on. Some of it will be specific to the packs you run with; 8 person teams).

  3. Honor your Prey (A brief nomenclature in regards to survival, and war. In survival it would mean to use all of what you kill, no waste, and to treat that which nourishes you with respect. In war that means we pick our targets with precision and information, but when we do choose our enemies we fight ruthlessly and to the death).

  4. Honor Yourself (Each member can choose an aspect and be recognized as this aspect until they no longer resemble it. It's not a position in particular as much as a title and how you are known to others within. One example might be “Truth”. Each member will carve their aspect on the 4th side until such time as an elder strikes out their aspect, to let it be known to them that they have wronged their chosen aspect. All aspects must fit the other 3 pillars, and be relevant with intent).
