Mages - pre-generating spells

I played a game once, think it was called Allin? not sure, but in that game you could cast a spell, and then hold on to it for a while, before you then eventally would cast or throw it. I thought this was a pretty cool thing, as it would give you more freedom of controll over your magic, and it also offers a tactical dimention, making sure you have your spells readily generated before initiating an opponent, should the spell take time to cast.

thoughts?

You mean allods? There you could precast some spells(not all), so they will be instantly fired on the next ability use.
  • Yes allods was the name! Thanks man
  • I think dragon age had the same idea and that worked quite well.
  • I played a MUD years ago and you had to Prep a spell, Target a spell and cast a spell. So you would Prep FB 10 , Target (name of target) and cast. All of these things added to your hit and how much damage you did. It was a good system
  • Loved it. Liked it. Want it.
  • Precasting so hard

    my nose fell off!
