Dropping backpacks when you die / are killed

Do you think they will have back packs in the game so when you die you drop It, and some of your belonging are left in it? I hope not as I don't want to run all the way back to where I died and then die again trying to get it back.

    God I hope not. As far as I'm aware you only lose a certain % of your currency and gatherings when you are killed by a player. Don't think you actually drop a... backpack or anything like that xD

    So you do actually drop something but you cant get it back. Have to if possible store excess cash and gatherings in a chest in your home. That way you wont loose to much.

    Before this gets into another of those long drawn out threads about "OMG I don't want to loose my stuff!!" They have stated that currency will have no weight. When answering a question if chests inside home would be lootable when a node is degraded do to siege they said yes, but there was never any reason for you to store gold in your house since it has no weight. So if the intention is for you to carry all your gold on you all the time, it isn't going to be pvp lootable. You can loose differing amounts of gear however, and since the intention last stated was no BOE or BOP gear in game the reward for killing someone might be a chance at looting an item. For non-combatants the idea is a percentage of resources carried, but for Red flagged PKers they have stated they will lose actual equipped gear at an increasing rate of punishment depending on corruption. We will just have to see.

    For regular people it will be, at this point in time, harvested items as stated by the Devs.  Thank the gods no corpse runs like EQ.
