Greetings, Fellow Ashlings/Embers/Wait, what are we calling ourselves again?
I joined the forums a couple of days after the Kickstarter campaign went live, and was promptly hit over the head and dragged off by a couple of large fellows dressed up as job responsibilities. Took a while to shake them off, but here I am.
I'm so looking forward to getting to know y'all, every bit as much (or more, perhaps) than I am excited about the game itself - and that's pretty excited. To me, a gorgeous game, with well-developed lore, a good story, and excellent mechanics is what draws me in, but it's the people who make or break the experience.
I landed in the mmorpg world back in early Everquest days, and I'll never forget the camaraderie of helping guildies with epic quests, or guild buddies staying up with me as I doggedly farmed that last piece for my Paw of Opalla - or the thrill of rounding the hill with that first expansion and catching sight of the dragon bone bridge. I'm still in touch with some of my friends from those early gaming days. We've talked, laughed, cried, and sent each other baby presents.
What am I looking forward to in AoC most? It's rather like trying to pick one favorite piece of music, or your favorite book, isn't it? Depends on the day, the mood, and can I list ten or more, please? At this moment, in no particular order: you guys, exploration of a brand new world, building nodes with you, crafting, freeholds.
I'd love to know what/where you're getting your current MMO fix whilst we wait for Ashes. I'm over on WoW right now, between guilds, and I'd be delighted to come join you wherever and whatever you're playing.
Zen hugs! -Pixie

Edit: not playing any MMO in the moment, but MOBA right now XD
Right now, I'm not playing any MMO's. Not scratching that MMO itch. Gonna wait the long haul for the AoC release for now and just jump between other games in the meantime.
Taking a break from gaming right now, but expect to be jumping back into Aion later this summer when a big patch hits. Then when I'm bored with that I'll need to see what else can catch my attention before Ashes releases.
Welcome back!
I love your enthusiasm, it pops right our of this post and punched me in the face. You should fit right back in as if you never left.
No game here atm, just foruming and life.
