The Unofficial Official "Name that Secondary Class: Mage!" Game

Hi,

With 64 potential class combinations, we can't keep calling it Mage / fighter !  That's not very immersive...  It's time to play "Name that Secondary Class!"  

The way the game works is you type the class, such as tank/ tank, and what you would recommend calling that class.  I will take your responses and add them as suggestions to the original post.  After 1 weeks time, we'll move onto the next set of classes.   When we're done with that, we'll open the polls!

No jumping ahead!  If you really want to name that Bard/Bard, you have to stick with us until the end!!!

Keep in mind a Tank / Rogue is different than a Rogue / Tank!

@phatcat09  There was a suggestion early on that I really liked.   Essentially, theme all of the names.  For fighters, do "sword of" or end everything in "sword."  For mages, "spell" or "magic of" or such.  I've been meaning to go through and add my own suggestions along those lines to the threads where they don't exist... If you like the idea, feel free to adopt it.

A bit late to the party, but better late than never, right?

Mage/Tank : Warden. Objects of magical protection are often called wards, so I feel it's fitting.

Mage/Fighter: Battlemage. Mentioned above, and I agree, since it's fitting. Alternatively, Spellsword.

Mage/Rogue: Illusionist. Mentioned above, and I like how it sounds.

Mage/Ranger: Arcane Archer. Everyone loves alliteration.

Mage/Mage: Archmage.

Mage/Cleric: Shaman. Will heal people, but not with the standard and publicly approved holy magic.

Mage/Summoner: Planebinder. Someone who controls and binds the forces of the elemental planes, whether it's energy for spells or creatures to make into allies.

Mage/Bard: Starcaller. Someone that sings about the beauty and power of the heavens, but can call down some meteors from said heavens as well.

@Anarien Some good new suggestions there!  I like creator and beast maker under summoner a lot.

@TheCouchNerd There are some classes already referenced in streams, but we continue to throw suggestions.  These lists are great!  They could be used for more than just naming secondary classes (mobs, lore, etc.).
