Combo System and latency

So I am quite interested in the combo system. The only problem is, the windows where you are able to use these combos.
How will my latency effect these windows.
Let's say, that my internet in not the best one.
So what happens it I have a 120ms latency (should be the worst case), can I still use the combo windows, or with this much latency, will I only have the fraction of the time that was originally intended for the combo window?

    The combat system can be aware of your average latency and compensate for it by adding in a time buffer. This of course can be gamed by lag switches, but there are security systems that can detect that also. The bottom line with action combat however is you need to have a good low latency connection to be the most effective.
