Mount Movement and Riding

I know it hasn't been stated/said yet, but I do hope they put into practice mount movement as BDO does it. It's very nice, and very realistic. I know there will be breeding and what not, but I'm hoping that they follow a great system instead of the usual going all out and jumping and then do a complete 180 and go in the opposite direction all with the spin of the ball or a jostle of the mouse. 
Since we are speaking of mounts, has it been said if there will be mounted combat? Can we cast spells, shoot a bow, swipe an enemy with a rapier as we ride past them while on horseback? If so, I could see some epic caravan heists and deterrents if mounted combat is done!

    They already said in a frequently asked question video that you wont be able to fight on horseback. I forget the exact wording but that was the gist of it.

    The idea is cool, maybe not on horseback but maybe a special combat mount later for guild wars or so.

    We will use the mount's abilities during mounted combat rather than character abilities.
    No info on movement.

    You won't be able to use YOUR skills on a mount, but sounds like mounts may have their own.

    Mounted combat would be an interesting addition although what I'm most excited for are the group mounts added in the backer goals.
