Under and Upper Realm relationship

I am interested to see how you think the Underrealm will interact or affect the ground level world. Intrepid already said that they will have nodes both above and underground and that nodes that are underneath/on top of each will affect each other, but they didn't really specify in what way. Or did they? What do you guys think??

    I've never seen this feature in other games before so have no suggestions because I find it difficult to imagine :)

    I actually asked this question and it was chosen for one of the KS live stream Q&A sessions.  Unfortunately, they abbreviated my question and I don't think it was fully answered to my satisfaction.  I'm at work and can't go find the segment of the live stream, but the gist of their answer was that Under Realm nodes and surface nodes above them will not impede one another from developing.  I kinda thought they should, but I guess that' either too complicated to do or undesirable from a gameplay perspective.

    I really hope that there is interactability between z axis neighboring nodes

    I like the idea of some resources being unavailable and some only available in the under realm. This would make trades between more beneficial and could result in some bandit hot spots.
    Other interactions could be along the lines of, if some monsters are left alone on the surface, they will find a way underground and grow in numbers in a passage. Or if an infestation of sort is left unattended underground then it could rise to the surface and cause issue to it's wildlife.

    I think they did say on a live stream that there will be some fauna and flora that can only be found in the Underrealm and that the herbs could only be farmed on a free hold in the Underrealm. It would definitely add another layer to economic planning :)

    In these hot summer months it is important to use baby powder on all affected Under realm areas, while making sure that the Upper realm covers to prevent corruption cancer.
