Summoners
Did you hear?
A stream from Intrepid Studios mentioned something amazing...
A summoner
A group of summoners.
A GROUP OF SUMMONERS SUMMONING A GOLEM!
Imagine you're in the midst of battle, on the front lines, you hacking and slashing, heads are rolling, you're unstoppable.
Then all of a sudden a booming "Roar" comes out of nowhere, there are squadrons of summoners summoning dozens of golems that are ready to kill your brothers and sisters in arms.
You heart plummets to your stomach and you don't know what to do, you can't face these people AND monsters at the same time.
So you collapse to your knees and see the blaze of fire in the fields, the cry of a thousand men, and then a blinding white light as death takes you in.
OKAY, SO I DON'T KNOW WHY I FINISHED THE SMALL STORY LIKE THAT.
BUT I'M JUST SO EXCITED FOR A LEGION OF SUMMONERS IN THE BATTLEFIELD SUMMONING GIGANTIC GOLEMS.

I wanted to add my two cents too, something I've been thinking about a little. Not necessarily golems, but animal husbandry is pretty much confirmed, from what I have read in these forums. And the ability to mix certain bloodlines.
I thought it'd be a neat idea, for summoners to have something similar. Combine two summons, for example a spider, venom+good mobility, and my allied summoner summons a different summon, for example a rock golem. But they could choose to combine the two spells, summoning a mixture of the two.
I'm also a massive fan of multiple summons. At the height of my power, to have a small army of summons. This might sound a little OP, but hear me out. You know how in strategy games, there's often a population/army limit? Or even tabletop warhammer. Make an army of 500 points, Some creatures are worth more points than others. So as a summoner you could opt for one or two strong summons, filling up the amount of mental control you can muster (This can increase with skill/level/talents? ) Or have an army of lesser summons, whom require less "control points" and thus you can have multiple.
Sorry, I'm just really REALLY excited by the possibilities.
Can't we have some terribly cute, or insubstantial creatures?
This definitely makes me excited for the class, and I can't wait for more info on them
Edit:
Especially with how the different combos of 2nd spec might affect the summons!
