hi does anyone know what ping players from australia can expect and if it would be too laggy to play?

They are planning to have an oceanic server, probably based in Australia, so the ping should be very good.

No one knows for sure yet, but they have said they are using google, so here is a location map if they go with regional datacenters.

I think having servers in pretty much each region of the globe NA/EU/OCE will help a lot when it comes to ping because each of the regions should be fair for where you live
Ontop of that - a discussion I often have with players now is that technology is constantly improving and launch is still a few years away - so who knows~~~

If I want to play games in the US I get between 230 - 350 ping. Games are still playable. The problem comes when you in the middle of a blobfest.
