Hello ladies and gentlemen.

Brand new backer here.  I have been an MMO gamer for years, mainly stuck in the WoW/FFXIV worlds.  I am ready for a game that takes a fresh approach to the MMO genre as it is incredibly stale at the moment.

One question which I cannot seem to find the answer to (and maybe there isn't one as of yet) is whether there has been any talk of max-level end-game content as of yet?  I have been raiding in WoW since Vanilla, so I am curious to see what kind of progression system AoC will have, especially if they do not follow the typical gearing/raiding progression that most games follow.

I look forward to talking with you all on the boards!

  • Hi there!
The game is always changing because the world is responsive to player actions through out the world so there is no "endgame" as such ^^ In addition there will be a level cap but the term "max level" isn't going to apply in the same way here at Ashes ^^
  • Welcome!

I would say there is no actual endgame content since it's more like a sandbox game with organic world that changes with player actions and that creates new events,
  • Hello @Kops o/ and welcome to the community smile
  • Welcome to our community @Kops :) Player activity shapes the Ashes world where everything that can be built can also be destroyed. This is far from the static and boring backdrops of themepark games like WoW, where you race to max level only to grind endlessly until it feels more like a chore than a game.
  • LOOK OUT, THE KOPS ARE COMING!

    Welcome to the game!

Welcome @Kops and as the world is more focused on what the player/community does, There are events that can be considered end game but you can more call it "end-quests" as when the Node reaches the max level, I believe world bosses spawn from time to time so you may consider that an "end-game event".

  • Welcome to the community, @Kops!

Ashes of Creation is not like WoW with regard to "end game".  In fact, the Intrepid developers have said, and I quote... "Endgame is a bad word".

In Ashes of Creation, since the world and its events occur dynamically as a result of player actions, we are the content.  The devs provide us with the framework, we make the game what it will be.  City sieges, caravan escort fights, open world exploration, trading, politics...  It's all up to us.

  • Welcome @Kops! Great to have you!
  • Welcome! High hopes for this game
  • A warm Welcome from a new member!! ^^
  • Welcome!
  • Welcome! Since the game is dynamic it will be interesting to see how the game progresses. It has been mentioned that different servers can be wildly different. If one server sees more pvp then say one year into the game the world will be more geared to pvp than say a server that was mostly pve. I am excited to see how we work this all out and find our way in this new world!
  • "end-game content" these words mean nothing here!
Welcome to the Community though. :D
  • Welcome to the AoC Community @Kops ! :D
  • Welcome to the community. Hope you have fun on the forum.
  • Others have said the important stuff.....so...just a welcome ;)
