Open Lock for rouges, and maybe breath underwater so you can get to a different part of water dungeon. But for create food you will probably need to do cooking, and you can only extract water.
These would be good questions to ask during the next Q&A. The KS reached the underwater expanded areas & underwater mount skins, so IS has likely had discussions about this.
Truly idk, but if IS is building Ashes to encourage groups and focus on something gained = something lost Open Lock might be a skill/spell only Rogues have access to. So I don't know if all Mage/X will have access to an Open Lock type skill/spell but I can see Mage/Rogue having that access.
The same, imo, likely applies to Create Food/Water where there will be a risk/reward associated with finding your own dinner. Although maybe Healer/X will have access just to help them keep their comrades up and running.
It would seem a requirement to me to grant spell casters access to Breathe Underwater. Mostly because I feel like they have put some emphasis on their underwater areas. With this I agree with @lexmax where items/potions/food/skills/etc. would be needed for non-spell casting classes.
There could be a risk/reward with open lock spells. If you pick the lock, you may or may not get it open, so you try again(may break a lock pick). With the spell it also might have a small chance to fail, depending on how hard the lock is or the skill of the mage, and if you fail, there is a chance the chest explodes, breaking some of the items or the mage might be hurt/stunned for a few seconds.
