Which guild would you join?

If you had to join a guild, you only knew guild names, and you had no way to find out anything else about those guilds besides their names...

EDIT: Assume that you HAVE TO join a guild to be able to play. Solo is not an option.
(you get popup to join one of the guilds the first time you see a login screen and you can not proceed into the game until you join some guild)

This one would sound most appealing to me.

  • I don't know any of these guilds. I need to expirence the culture, talk to people and discuss goals.

Until that happens, I'm guild less.

Then you can't play the game. The game requires you to join the guild upon first time you see login screen.

So you are saying that you wouldn't play the game at all then?

Assume you can change guild after some time, but which guild would you join initially?
  • The Cheeky Bastards.
  • ( ・ิϖ・ิ) Oh I dare some PvPer to try to PK me .

I'll rekt your sh!t in harder than a Horse-Kick to the Crotch m8
    ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
  • Circle of Carebares, and I'd name my character Sexstarved Bear!
  • I like names where guilds do not take themselves that serious so Circle of Carebears from those choices.
  • I like to hunt monsters

A good friend of mine actually ran the Guild "Blood and Honor" in Shadowbane.

    None of the above
  • I'll play insect glaive and hammer.
  • I accepted the premise for the poll and chose Blood and Honour.  It exemplifies the qualities that I would want from joining a group, sacrifice and loyalty.  Sacrifice comes about when personal goals are delayed to ensure a group member attains their goals.  When all members embody this then all the members goals may be attained possibly more efficiently than they could have individually.  Loyalty comes about by overlooking the minor foibles that each member undoubtedly has and trying minimize them while trying to emphasize the strengths that each member has.
  • Trade syndicate or maybe the Circle of Carebears. Honestly none of them are really appealing names for me but those 2 would be bearable.
  • Where's the none option? RIGGED!
  • None of the above.  I choose guilds as I choose friends, after I get to know them.  If there is no time or way to know them then the choice is easy. The game is not worth my time.
  • I don't really like any of those names so I'd have to start my own guild. :/
  • I've had a rule going on 10 years now to avoid any guild with Dark, Elite, or Shadow in the name like the plague that they are.
  • For those of us that are older, there was once a PC game version of Vampire Masquerade. Now I never played the pen and paper version, but the game sounded promising, semi-open world, choices matter, choose friends/enemies, and so forth. During character creation you had to select a family to be part of. I usually picked Nesferatu, because I love the classics.

So, I assume Gothix's game requires a selected family to play. I would prefer better descriptions, but I would at least give the game a go. Keep in mind, everyone else that is playing this game had to make the same choice with the same information we are given.

I joined UCA because I believe they would let me focus on solo play as long as I had a crafting skill. Also, they likely have members that like to have guard duty and are willing to trade raw supplies.

If, however, after joining all they do is raid and pillage, I might start an alt and not look back.
  • In actuality, my  " true choice " is not on the list. I picked it for funzies   :p

Now i want to look this up. The short description sounds good in more ways than one - a " semi-open world  " sounds nice tbh  :)
  • I'd so join the Circle of Carebears Guild. I would then work up the ranks until I can create my own rank:
    Big Mumma Carebear. :>
  • Though PVP is not my first choice of gameplay, I generally like the idea of Blood and Honor even if it has a PVP type vibe to it. To me it's more about protecting your "Blood" or fellow soldiers in battle and fighting honorably. As I typically end up playing some sort of fighter, this would typically be a motto to which he held true.
  • You should add an other option. I want to join a casual everything guild. I want to have a character that crafts, does raids and dungeons, and participates in pvp. I want to play the game it was meant to be enjoyed! :)
  • Random selection. Let fate decide
  • Circle of Carebears sounds like one of those small guilds of very experienced players who choose their guild / character names to make fun of the game or their enemies.

This works especially well if there are server created messages like "A circle of Carebears has defeated the Elite Legion and captured their castle!"
  • The Cheeky Bastard or SageVonAwesome's guild probably.
  • I want to be in a circle of carebears so that I can smother those who aren't aware that carebears are really vampiric-spawns-of -beelzebub-with-nasty-pointy-teeth with love and cuddles. *honestface*
  • This Guild name...

  • @Eragale, it was "Semi-open" due to being multiple large cities you could roam without invisible walls. As opposed to here is an entire state filled with cities, btw you have to travel between them in a conventional manner.
