250-300 cap is what has been mentioned. However, guild will have a certain number of points they can spend on perks. Want to have a huge capped guild, you are going to sacrifice in other areas. The sweet spot they seem to be shooting for is in the 25-50 range.
My personal thought is that smaller guilds would never have an opportunity to utilize or enjoy the benefits of a guild castle. So, in order to help smaller guilds out, we're allowed to make alliances, but we aren't allowed to benefit from them at the guild castle level.
