Randomized Encounters (Mob Skills)
So I was chatting in the discord with some people, and we came up with a cool idea that, in my opinion, could be really fun, and help break up the monotony of grinding mobs, at least in the over-world (not dungeons or raids or things of that nature)
That idea being randomized mob skills. In essence, every mob that spawns on the in the world has a CHANCE to have some skills from a specific pool. FOR EXAMPLE. Every deer that spawns has a 60% chance to have a skill called haste, which gives it a move speed bonus for a short time. As well as every deer could have a chance (say like 20%) skill that's called charge, in which they run at a target and knock them prone for 1 or 2 seconds. Now aside from their default skills, there could be deer's that have haste or charge, or even some deer having BOTH!, or even some deer having none.
Depending on how the skills and pools are done, they really make each battle different and fun, and break up the grinding a bit, or make for some really fun stories as you say encounter a bear with this weird skill you've never seen before and had to adapt on the fly to take it out.
Now i'd like to take this time to clarify, what I'm not advocating for is randomized stats for the mobs, as I feel that could lead only lead to frustration for seemingly no reason, merely mobs having a chance at having a unique or different mechanic that could lead to interesting and fun encounters.
I'd like your guys's thoughts on this! do you think it could only serve to make the game less fun, or would you like to see something like this? or do you have suggestions on how to improve it? Lemme know!
I'd like to thank Rylax004, and Deus Flex Machina (not sure their forum names) for helping with this idea!

If I'm not mistaken they have mentioned something along these lines.
Well this is the little I have found so far:
Our unique and adaptive AI means that an encounter with similar creatures will yield a completely different experience to adapt to as a player. Keeping you on your toes for constantly changing responses from your adversary. The world awaits its heroes.
Which, if that's the case makes encounters fun and interesting all by themselves, but if you put the two together. ohhhh boyyy. encounter's because fun and diverse and just a blast. Probably to the point I'd wander out and fight mobs just for the sake of a good time, and no other reason.
We know mob variety will be different to servers but I fully support the idea of mobs having slightly different skills to one another within a mob species ^^
I'd like a mob to suprise me xD
