Can Ashes of Creation have native controller support?

Hello AoC community!

I´m really interested to know if there are plans to add this feature to the game, because i´m a player who loves to play with my X-Box 360 controller for PC, i´ve been using it on DC Universe Online, BDO and WoW with the Console Port addon.

Thx in advance to the Developer team if they answer this question and any of the fellow community players who drop their 2 cents in this thread.

Cheers!

  • There has been talk about adding controller support, but it is unconfirmed at this point. They want to get farther into the UI creation and the skill trees before making a firm commitment. Right now the idea is to let you choose from many different active skills and a mass of passives. The current number quoted from PAX is 10-12 active skills. Whether they would be able to work that into a controller schematic is probable, just depends on where their focus ends up being.
  • Thx for the input @UnknownSystemError i think that if there are only 12 active skills then controller support can be something very achivable for Ashes.
  • If the combat system of the game allows it, it would be a useful addition. Everyone plays differently, so having options that cater to different playstyles would make life easier for many people. Maybe they can also make something similar to what was done in Revelation, where you could pick between different control schemes, depending on what suited your style and your experience most.

Exactly. Having more options is always a good thing :)
