Can dragons raze a metropolis?

Can dragons and there armies destroy a metropolis?

If there aren't enough defenders or dragon defences put in place.

And could you possible play a monster in the dragon army with monster coins?

  • I think a dragon and its armies can only knock a metropolis down to a Stage 5 city.
And then would have to wait another 6 weeks or so to try to knock the city down to a Stage 4 town.
  • If a dragon was attacking a node it would be part of a monster coin event which Lexmax has highlighted above :) It won't delevel your node but can cause enough "damage" to deactivated certain npc features etc from working. In which case it will probably lead to quests etc to reactivate those npcs after the event is over.

Players which are NOT citizens of the Node under attack can use monster coins to become one of the attacking monsters through out the event.

You can gain experience under the Monster Coin event which is like a mini game, and if you accumulate enough experience you can even become the dragon if you wanted too :3
  • I don't think a dragon attacking a city is always a Monster coin event.
Sometimes it will just be an NPC event.

O okay :) I though all NPC attacks on Nodes allowed monster coin useage ^^ I'll go refresh my memory xD
  • Yep on the npc event. What I think the OP was on about is the mayor of another metropolis or guild leader controlling a castle flies over and nukes an opposing metropolis or castle. We do know that they will have combat abilities, just not the extent yet when ridden as a mount.
  • Node leaders won't be able to use their dragon pets to raze a metropolis.
That would have to be during a siege - so would just be part of the overall siege damage.
And it would really be the Queen/King/Mayor's army rather than a dragon and its army.
Sieges, for sure, only de-level down to the previous stage when successful.
But, I think the same is true even during major NPC attacks.

It would be kool to see a metropolis smashed back to the stone age.  Impending doom is a powerful narrative.  Other developing nodes would take heed,  and force them to strengthen their monster defences.  It would be a meaningful and historical  event.  And an epic battle on either side.                                                                                                                                          Thanxs for the info. Its going to be interesting to see how the npc attacks and monster coin system pans out.
