I can't wait to watch the season change. I have always thought allot of MMOs missed out on this feature of showing the world as a living breathing ever-changing environment and not some stale never changing same old same old scene every time you go through some area.

"In Ashes of Creation, the world will change on a regular basis. Zones will progress in a seasonal cycle, which will alter the very nature of the environment around you. Snow may block pathways that are accessible in warmer months, spring may encourage creatures otherwise unseen to come to the surface, and fall might be the only time that certain crops thrive. This cycle can then take in the state of the world’s Nodes and shift depending on their progression. What happens if there’s an unexpectedly long summer and a far too short autumn? We’re not entirely sure ourselves, but we do know there will be plenty of stories that begin with “I remember when…” I want these cycles to affect a wide array of mechanics, including; NPC generation, boss content, dungeons, drop tables, Node progression, combat, skill use, gatherables, trade routes, NPC appearances, and weather. How you approach the world will depend on the world’s mood at that time. Certainly, you might re-consider your approach to that dungeon if it’s fall rather than spring."

Anyone else looking forward to this? It will be part of my exploring fun by having to go back to some area where the snow has vanished only to reveal a cave where there wasn't one before maybe or that Frozen over lake actually had something at the bottom of it!

(Forgive me if my words seem strange to you, I'm from Russia, so it's difficult for me to enter the text in English.)
Yes, we are looking forward to this project with my friends and colleagues. Firstly, because it is sufficiently developed. Secondly, in the ashes of creation one can become what you want: from the digger to the mercenary. Thirdly, you can write your history and the history of the world. In general, it would be nice to get into this world, as in "Sword Masters Online". As I said, the whole world was developed. so it will be quite fun.
All the luck in the conquest of this world !!!
Either get the required gear or do something else during winter time, like gathering, cooking and alchemy.
If seasons affect your characters abilities, I am sure there will also be certain food buffs that will come in handy during winter time, so all kinds of players will have their hands full to survive mother nature, whether they are out hunting or helping others prepare to go out hunting.
