Hello all,
I just found out about this game today and am very excited for it. I must first ask you all to excuse my naive nature due to the fact I have only known about this game for 10 minutes. Anyway, when does the Alpha/Beta start? Do you have to pay to be a part of it? I saw 3 items in the websites shop and was wondering what those were. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Alpha 0 is due to start December 15th this year. Alpha 1 is due to start sometime next year, but no confirmed dates yet.

    You can join alpha2 and beta2 by purchasing early access from the store, or you are able to win alpha0 through the weekly key drawings.

    The first alpha those that backed get to be in doesn't happen until next year, but there is a random drawing they do every once in a while to get into alpha 0 which happens in december this year. I know during Pax West there werr options to buy into Alpha and/or Beta, but I personally never took the time to find out what that was all about (I am sure someone else will fill provide that information in a few moments, unless they post before I do).

    Hello and welcome!

    The first Alpha 9 starts December 15th this year and will be a very limited NDA test that only certain people got invites for.

    Other testing phases should be in 2018 with Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 being in 2018, and Beta 1/Beta 2 in the timefrime until 2020 when release is scheduled.

    (someone will post the test phase picture anyway)

    Intredid seems to be progressing much faster than expected so we might see other test phases much sooner, but so far only Alpha 0 has a confirmed date.

    As for those items you saw in the shop, those are Alpha 2 Access (includes keys for Alpha 2 up to Beta 2, as well as a limited PAC Costume), Beta 2 Access (includes only a Beta 2 Key as well as PAX costume) or you can just buy the pax costume separately if you already are a Kickstarter backer and just want the costume.

    This question may seem silly, but I was looking at the referral page and was wondering how to do it. I want to refer my friend but I don't understand what to do, and how to send the link to them.

    On your referral page you should have a button that says "generate url". Hit that and copy the link it makes. It should be a url with your profile name at the end.

    Simply give that to your friends in an email or message. They click, sign up and bam, you refered them.

    PS make sure your friends aren't idiots like mine and say they used your referral but then in reality didn't because instead of clicking the link, they just googled "Ashes of Creation"
