I have played a lot of games. Searching for a dynamic, complex, pet system. Does this game have pets?

Yes, pets will exist in Ashes. Some will be level-able and have gear available to them.

There will be mainly cosmetic pets. Mounts will have a limited combat ability and there is no plan for mounted combat. If you are looking for a battle pet system similar to WoW or Pokemon there is no confirmation on that type of system as of yet. There is no hunter class, though the summoner may function similar to that once details are released. There may be certain animals that can be tamed and used in combat as part of the husbandry artisan profession. Once again, no real details.

Then I will be keeping a sharp eye on this. Summoner and pets. Just the potential of having both at my side gets my hopes up.

Welcome to our community!   There will also be a profession to breed animals.  It would be nice if some could be bred for pets.

That would be something I would go for if it's not cardboard cutout stuff. Ya know, breed 5 Cats and get 5 cats with the same stats, skills and only a different skin is the only difference.

Cardboard cats with different paintjobs. Bleh.
