I have been reading alot on the forums in the past 12 hours, and come to a realization. This game has potential, it can be amazing... but it's not all up to the devs. They only give us the world and game, then they are letting us run things mostly. That's a huuuuuge deal and part of what makes this game such a great idea. But that is a double edged sword imo. It's going to be up to US as players to help keep this game great. Political in fighting, razing towns, pvp. It's all expected by all of us along with the arguing that is sure to spark from disagreements. What i'm getting at is, it's gonna be our job to look for the real malcontents. They trolls, the people that only seek to ruin things. They will be OUR job to handle in this type of environment. We as a community must try to keep genuine hatred off of our beloved game. Do not let them thrive. Ruin them before they ruin AoC! Thoughts?

    As long as there are people to kill or pvp guilds that want to fight I won't be too much of a nuisance :smiley:  I love hearing my friends scream though so no promises :smile:  If there is a cliff with me next to it you better shove me off it first or I am gonna get you :wink:

    Lol that's normal for and honestly needed for this kind of game. I'm talking about people that will only belittle everyone, scream racisms, then kill n camp anyone n everything for zero gain other than making people miserable. These are the ones we need to... handle :) as a community. Im like you, I enjoy healthy PvP. I fully understand the mind set of if its red its dead mind set. And we NEED healthy PvP imo

    I hate drama in RL but in games I love the drama gamers create in-game lol

    I partially agree with you gothix but then partially with caxtren. My actual stance on this matter would be to find out HOW trolly the people are then decide as a community if they are a detriment. Punishing people for thought crimes makes you worse than someone who THINKS hitler was right (worst thing I can think of right now). But as long as people don't act on those thoughts we shouldn't punish them. PLUS how can you ever be sure what people are thinking? The thing is you cannot ever be sure what they are thinking. The only time you can be sure of what I am thinking is when me and you are next to a cliff, you can be sure I want to shove you off it and laugh as you tell me "Go fuck yourself!", and then die :smile:

    Lol if you honestly think trying to keep people from ruining the game on purpose is "white knighting", you amuse me. I don't want the stigma that a few other games have gotten to be attached to our game. Again, pvp, arguing and disagreements aren't what im talking about. It's the people that will form a grp of 3 to just go around PKing for 0 reason other than to hopefully steal anything they can then dropping it on the ground and taunting you for it using extremely hateful phrases and racist remarks. Not wanting THAT isn't "white knighting", it's being a normal person.

    There will be a TON of systems to stop continus trolling. Trolling will wear of after some weeks when people taste the consequenses

    The people running around just killing people for luls is what the corruption system is for
