Class combinations

I don't know where and when I read about class combinations, but now that it's known, are each class combinations going to give us an ability unique to that class? Or, it's only going to permit us the choice to invest in both specific pool of abilities for each class. For example, will a dreadnought have a completely different and unique ability then its neighboring combinations like a guardian, knight or a weapon master? Or, is it just enhancing an existing ability for each class?

    According to the blog post, augments from the secondary can and will fundamentally change how some of your primary abilities work, so each class should have unique abilities.
