Being a gatherer and making money

Will I be able to "lonewolf it" and go and gather things and make money by going to different nodes and sort of be an "off the grid" gatherer and seller and make a place and build a home so if people wanted to find me they would have to make a hard effort to do so?

    You could. You will have access to a single account bound freehold, that can be placed anywhere node level 3 or above. This placement grants citizenship to that node, with all the benefits and drawbacks that brings. There is a lot of information out there on how they plan to implement this, I recommend starting with aocwiki.net and then making sure to watch the hours upon hours of livestreams and interviews. Once you have done all that you will have a much better idea if your particular vision is possible. One thing you can't avoid, just like real life, death and taxes. If you go solo you run the risk of people killing you for a percentage of what you are carrying in gathered materials at the time, even with a stringent flagging system in place. Since housing is node dependent, you will also need to pay upkeep on the freehold in the form of taxes that goes to the controlling node coffers.

    I personally enjoy going the lone wolf route at times, but I don't see this game "fully" rewarding players who want to log in and do things alone majority of the time. ( That is perception tho, maybe it will be rewarding to the person who is choosing to go the lone wolf route. )
