When the game goes live do we lose progress?

After all the alpha and beta phases are done, will we keep our progress or will it reset as I thought it would?

From what Steven said on the last Q&A more than likely the progress from Betas will be wiped before launch.

it has to be wiped otherwise it woudnt be fair
