Armoured Caravans

Well guessing there is no gun powder maybe no steam engines but there could still be magicaly powered siege vehicles.  

It has already been mention that  we could as players hire more protection like guards. But what if we had a really cool looking train lack for better word. It would have two turrets or ballista on each side or other missle projectile weapon.  Maybe even a flame thrower plus archers or mages on top.  Guessing would have to be clear of the front or be runned over.  Be really cool if actual players could  operated it  let say six needed or eight.  

Could be linked to special engineer plans and take a while to build but ounce built it would be a monolith of a caravan.  Mad Max comes to mind for some reason but wrong artstyle.  Would like it could only be partially destroyed with huge repiar bill since it cost so much to make.  

Would be a neat challenge to would be bandits.  Wow we have never taken one of those down before lets try it kind of thing.

Plus maybe we could get like dinosours as guards instead of the puny humans or other race.  Really any in game skin could be used even some of the bigger mobs just reduce them size to size. really not too hard.  

Plus if you really want to invest some time on it.  We could have like different artstyles represented per race and the gothic/pirate style also.

Thinking of an armoured caravan with a dragon design to it with dragon heads that breath fire.
Would really promote the caravan campaign.

Just to be clear do not mean actual trains just the general shape of it.

That would be very cool and certainly add a bit of variety to the usual caravan raiding.

We know that caravans will be craftable and customizable by players. There will be a part of the artisan tree that allows people to craft "addons" to caravans to affect stats like speed and defense. And from the PAX cosmetic that caravans will be "skinable" to change the appearance.

A 'train' so to speak would be similar to a form of fast travel, IS stated that there will be little forms of fast travel in the game so I doubt anything that functions similary to a train will exist (being able to carry big amounts of people in a short amount of time) since you can't load something as small as a caravan made for transporting good with a lot of people but a train shaped vehicle could have extra wagons attached without much problem.

Well guess they would go just as fast as the caravans just look cooler.
The goods would be inside the train and the people on top of it defending it.
You know kind of like on the movie MAD MAX were every one is after the fuel truck.
Used the word train really loosely here cannot think of a word to describe long rectangular shaped siege vehicle that carries goods in it with platforms on top for weapons like balisti.

Would like to add that if the bandits had like siege animals  Like a huge wooly mammoth with weapons platforms that be wold be the coolest.
like this idea so much think I am going to start own thread for it.

So it would be like huge siege vehicles with storage space.
