Destiny ~ Tuned Relics
Many people are familiar with the concept of someone being born into an artefact through 'unknown' heritage that sets them up to be a partial hero or a leading role of any story.
We know that such rare artefacts will exists in the server that there may only be one in existence.
Not everyone can be a god. And if they were, no one would be a god.
Nor would it be 'unknown heritage' if you could make a specific build to acquire a specific artefact.
So here is the idea.
Make a selection of unique individual artefacts that cover all conceivable builds (512 ??) that suit those specific builds but buff the node. Such artefacts will be useless junk for anyone except the build type it is tuned to. This is to ensure all build types have a chance of access to such items in a tailor made type. The idea here is to allow the concept of the outsider from no where. Someone that wasnt born into wealth and privilege kind of thing, to have an effect on node game play. Because only one of these items exists on the server for any specific build, and node progression dictates if and when such things could be found; these artefacts will be far too rare to have an overwhelming impact on node game play, while still allowing moments of awe, wonder and privilege. Filled with the unknown, as no one knows how many of such artefacts will come into existence at any time, nor their purpose, they add another dimension to node gameplay.
I would like your ideas on how the general concept could be implemented and the scope of such things effect on gameplay if any. Expand, develop or limit the idea. Twist it in a way that suits everyone. It should capture the concept of a leading role, but preferably in a balanced way that everyone can stomach.
