Bards and Music Festivals

I spammed a question on the stream in these days and finally, I managed to get an answer! Basically I asked if Bard will be able to sing and play instruments in the game apart from when the use the skills of course. The answer that I got was along the line of: It is certainly an interesting concept and we are also gonna introduce music festivals in which you can create your own music...
THIS IS FANTASTIC! EDIT: this is the link to hear steven's answer to my question: https://forums.ashesofcreation.com/home/leaving?target=https://youtu.be/9AUYgF0IgVY?t=1h29m45s
I mean, bards have always been the pg for roleplayers, kind of the jester of the team, useful but not that much, there has always been someone that could do the same, just better. So i think it is vital that they characterize the bard in the best way possible. Possibly they should be able to be useful, otherwise the gameplay would lack. On the other hand there should be a huge focus on making them feel... bards! being able to play instruments, maybe have special dialogue options with NPCs thanks to their charme... these kind of things that make you feel like you are a bard and not a lesser thief with a guitar screaming like an idiot during a boss fight against Satan

You want a carnival, a parade, a night at the theatre/auditorium, a wedding or party to celebrate some occasion, a political summit of node leaders for declarations of truce and trade pacts, relax in a place of peace/beauty/tranquility where you can just sit back and admire the world, a religious sanctuary where aggression is simply not tolerated out of respect.
None of these things can happen if they are turned into a battleground.
I also love they will be so versatile.
The corruption system is the only deterent.
There are many PvPers who openly brag about ruining the RPers day in any way that they can.
And if people fight back, the corruption system goes out the window and you just end up with a peaceful occasion that was ruined by griefers.
So if you want to conduct any kind of peaceful ceremony in peace, at the moment it is unlikely to happen. IMHO.
Admittedly, I'd wanna see two ships full of bards go on a shanty showdown. I'd row up on a raft for that any day.

Just don't schedule the events during a siege.
