Account Purchases and Cosmetics Owned

I am an original KS backer and I have purchased a few other items from the store to support this game. When I go to see my purchases, I see a small table of text... why can't I see the actual items?
Wouldn't it be nice to see the items tied to your account, so you can marvel at their beauty, make decisions on which items to add this month based on existing purchases, figure out what you would prefer to wear, or which pets go good with which outfits?!?

I hope I posted this in the right spot... not really got anything more to say... just throwing it out there.

  • Because in many cases they haven't even gotten the concept art for them done. It took months just to get the Summer concept artwork and that was only done because enough said "Until you do, we aren't buying!". They have been working on core structures needed for the game to function. From what we know combat development pass is next focus. Cosmetics have been stated to be the thing they are working on last just before release. So if you are waiting now, you will be waiting much longer. All cosmetic purchases are a leap of faith anyways, they have also stated that concept art is just that, concept and may change during actual production to live.
  • EVERY cosmetic i have purchased (even the original KS stuff) had some sort of art to go with it. That is a poor excuse. even the summer stuff that had art (as you mentioned) cannot be seen from my profile, only a text saying I bought a pack.
The veloceraptor I just bought has art, but it cant be seen from my purchase history.

AND the guy making this forum or the one managing the store is likely not the one making game. Or do you mean to tell me there are no departments at this company, only game developers (never mind marketing or accounting).

I would be fine with the concept art still being available for viewing (a link by my purchase would be enough), its sad that in a month, noone will be able to see their sexy owl pet or neat cloak. (until release anyway).

I feel like you completely missed the point of this topic.
My point is, if I go to my purchases page, I have no idea what I purchased.
for example, I have a pets pack... BUT WHICH PETS?!?
I know they are the pets from the summer sale, but which pets were in the summer sale?
I have the original ks backing on there, but no list of its contents or images (yes even concept art that may change would be fine) to let me view what I have to look forward too.

I am in no way looking for detailed in game screenshots of every item, but simply a list with the images I saw when I purchased the item.
  • Makes sense to me
  • just use this link https://www.ashesofcreation.com/account/orders
and then click "view details" and it will break down what you have perched like this

  • not much of a breakdown:

BUT I do see that it made my individual purchases visible, and even with links.

I notice in your image they are not links (or your links don't have underlines) so I wonder if it is only because my individual purchases (not packs) are for this month and the links will go away next month?!?
  • That's right you can only see the images for this months pack which I agree is silly but theres nothing we can do
  • we can ask nicely... cant we?!?  :open_mouth:
  • I agree we should have access to that art, and it should automatically update every time a change is applied to this art. For example, if a new concept is made about the raptor the art in my purchase link should be updated so I can see what changes were made. IMO this is a big oversight on their part and as you say, it should be implemented. But at the same time, there are other things that are more important than just showing us art directly in our account. Which brings me to the next statement.

    While this is true:

There are most likely several departments in the company not dedicated to making the game. You seem to think the web devs are not working on game features for the web. Unlike other companies, a game studio is 100% dedicated to their games, so while they may not be working on visible stuff to you, maybe they are working on a whole new website with web functionalities that will interface with the game. Could be as simple as a password recovery for your in-game account, interfacing a web cosmetic shop that works with your in-game account, or as complicated as freehold management from the web. Thing is we don't know what they are currently working on, but I honestly doubt they are just sitting there with their arms crossed until they have to change packages.

That said. Since we don't know what they are working on I think your original post is legitimately necessary to point out a feature you think is missing and might have just been an oversight and who knows maybe they like the idea, think it's necessary and can spare the manpower to implement it. So I think it's a good thing that you pointed it out.

In the meantime, I can offer you a solution, to be able to see old preorders art. Maybe you can keep a folder in your PC with the art of things you have purchased. I will place here the pictures from the previous months so you can download them all, or the ones you have purchased so you can go and look at them.

  • Thanks for posting all that art :)
  • Now that I've gotten a closer look at that caravan, I may surrender and get it.
  • Thanks for the art post!! And yeah, I'm a sucker for that wooden caravan as well! But I already caved for the Greenery lol. I need to stop checking out the shop.
  • Man I really love the art, but I just can’t spend money on art that I’m not even going to have for multiple years. I wish the stuff wasn’t sold so early. Start the monthly stuff when we have the game, and I’d be all over it
  • Thanks for the images, but man these cosmetics are just asking to be bought...
  • If it was something darker and not some tree-hugging knife ear no offence @lexmax then I would buy it in a undead heartbeat but these don't do it for me sadly
  • I'll stab you in the eye socket with my knife ears :D

I did find it a bit strange to have a website with...
    limited videos,
    limited screenshots,
    limited concept art,
...considering what has been released elsewhere.

All those costumes are artwork that helps sell the game.
Why hide them in the cupboard ???

I have no idea. The more media on show the more people would join, at least that I think would happen.
