Is it true the soft launch will happen in 2018?

    Not that i know of. I don't know where this came from but i would not trust that source again

    There will be a soft launch for Alpha-1 toward the end of this year.

    This is only for Alpha-1, not for the live game launch, which has not been officially announced yet.

    it's not a soft launch. it's alpha testing without an NDA. All progress will be wiped several times during testing, and there will be a full wipe for release.

    There are no soft launches when it comes to MMORPGs either they can handle launch with minimal issues or they completely bomb it.

    Beta testing Alpha One begins end Q3 early Q4 stated by Steven at PAX a few weeks ago.  You cannot participate unless you are a backer of the game or receive a beta invite which are done randomly once per week with random ppl getting a key.

    Beta testing doesn't begin until beta.

    Alpha 1 is, as the name suggests, alpha testing.

    Alpha testing and beta testing are different things.

    It's not a launch in any way shape or form.  Alpha testing isn't a release contrary to what many games have been trying to pull these past couple of years.

    if getting "technical" yes they are different, either way its all testing.

    No way, best to hope for is the Alpha and Beta come a bit early.
