    As much as an old MP fan that I am sometimes these things can be a bit too over the top.

    A subtle homage to most anything can be slid in without making it unfunny. A few referencing old crpg games ("Going Ice skating? Got a great deal on these here Secret Silver Blades.") and the like could be fun to find without being too obtrusive.

    There must be three Easter Eggs.  Three shall be the number of eggs, and the number of eggs shall be three.  There should not be four, nor shall there be two, unless you are counting the number of eggs included and you proceed immediately to three.  Five is right out.
