Survived... The word that echoes throughout my mind. We're holding onto survival. Through the night, I battled against cracks of tainted energy. I'd never seen magic like this before. Incantations whispered from the waves as I shouted the protective cantrips that I'd hoped would lead us to safety. Death was at my nape, biding his time, waiting for my will to collapse. Through the strength of my own resolve and the steadfast determination of Latir, we fought through the night. The dream of a clear morning has manifested today. We hold each other tight as my runes guide us towards the first semblance of land in the abyss. Even as our hearts are filled with hope, I still hear the calls of turmoil beneath the surface of the ocean. So close...
