Voice Mechanic

Hey I was wondering, do you think that the designers should make an in game voice mechanic that allows the players to talk to each other when they are in close proximity and the farther the distance between the players the quieter the voice gets. This would help the game to become more lifelike and possibly create more of a team oriented mechanic. So you can talk to anyone and you have to be quiet in certain situations. In my perspective this would help create a better rpg style to the game. I would like to know your opinions on this too please.

    I understand your point regarding immersion and the game will have VOIP ingame but it won't be proximity based. It would be a cool feature but I think after a while everyone would annoy me or I'd bump into the loud guy in the corner.
