  • I live in NA but support whatever you guys decide because I would not like to deal with my.com either.
  • I like the idea of EU players on US servers for that round the clock action. I know its not possible but ideally this game just played on one giant server with everyone together and no instancing/phasing.....but its only a dream.

The problem is that the servers would be set to US Prime time.

Which means things like sieges that occur during Prime Time would occur hella late for EU players.

Someone said something about NA servers on an EU clock for "prime"  That came from a sidebar conversation I believe I haven't seen anything official on it yet.

I say give them a chance. The devs here have shown to have the right mindset, why would they let so much be at stake unless the publisher does idd follow up through clear goals in a contract
  • I am against my.com, but I am not playing on NA servers ever again. Made that mistake once, had nobody to play with except grumpy all-nighters or aussies.

I'll play on EU regardless, but hopefully not on my.coms servers.
  • I miss the 'I will wait for how things turn out to make a decision based on facts rather than expectations' option.

    Same here.

For me it's either play on EU servers or not at all, I'm not gonna play on high ping in a game with action combat. Not to mention prime time problems.

With the latest information, it seems at least there is less interaction with My.com than usually there is to a publisher. You can choose to have an account at Intrepid and make payments to them too, no My.com launcher, and there seems to be strict contractual rules when it comes to servers etc. so it doesn't look too bad IMO. Still have to see, cause I don't want to support My.com...

I will play on both NA and EU and if it all works out OK on EU that will be my main server if it all goes to s**t due to publisher in EU I will I will be established on and make NA my main server.  We won't really know for several months of playing how it will look.
  • I translated it through an interpreter. I have played games on mail.ru (1-4 months starts P2W). I have associated with it only the negative, but if it is possible to contact the developer and get the feedback to the mail, you get to play. But the service in Russia is in any gate not climbing (even in comparison with my.com as if it didn't swear). People ran away from mail.ru on my.com and they had positive reviews, compared to mail.ru (though my.com a subsidiary of the company). I'll play with my nose.
  • Felt out with My .com about 5 years ago as they sell your information on ,I also know a few people they did this too
  • Felt out with My .com about 5 years ago as they sell your information on ,I also know a few people they did this too
The difference here being that you can have your account through Intrepid and payments go through them too. So the most important information about you doesn't have to be handled by My.com (can choose between My.com or Intrepid)
  • lets hope so
  • If I play on an NA server its because my friends and guild has decided to do so, not because I am protesting. With the latest news from Steven its sounding quite positive with the options in regards to my.com So I cant see the whole NA server thing happening anyway.

Intrepid need to create a detailed FAQ on this subject so it is clear to everyone what information is being shared and options there are to avoid this. Then informed choices can be made.

  • Undecided at the moment. If I can pay direct to Intrepid and just have My.com as a server host then maybe it might work.
But I expect My.com would want more than that. Plus I guess we would have to give them our info to be on their servers anyway.
Too many questions, hopefully we will find out more on Monday.
  • I will wait and see. I may most likely roll on NA unless creating the account with Intrepid Studios means that they handle all data without my.com every touching them.

Steven did answer it that all servers will be tuned around the region local time. So yeah NA prime time. Though if they did one that would be cool but atm it seems they won't be.

UPDATE: We have new information about this from the cologne meeting. They are now considering having NA server/servers with EU times.
  • After everything Steven has been doing I will play on the EU servers I may not like the idea of my.com but I have faith that Steven will hold them to his standards

According to Steven mail.ru won't be able to implement p2w features. It seems the main concern is with data security and in 2018 with Russia in the news as often as they are, I can understand the sentiment.
  • I'm also sure taht during maintenance downtime that it would be during the off hours on the NA server....that would likely be during prime time for EU players wanting to play on a NA server.
  • I will play on eu, and I looking forward to seeing more info on policies drafted with my.com on Friday, especially regarding the handling of the account and any financies linked to it.

    Hello dear Ashlings,

According to Steven, there are currently considerations in North America to set up a server for players from Europe. Here the usual events would be adapted to the prime time of Europe, so the server would run with the European time zone. This way you could also use your subscription in North America. Nevertheless, we would like to point out once again that my.com is only the publisher. The development of the game is in the hands of Intrepid, my.com as publisher has no influence on the development of the game. The task of a publisher is to market the game in the respective region and to bring it to the players, to provide the infrastructure and to provide the support. It follows the developer's instructions, not the other way around. This also applies to localization. Steven explained yesterday that the game should be localized in the following languages: German, English, French and Russian. After about 6 more months, an Italian and a Spanish version are planned to be made available.

    good point

I will wait for how things turn out to make a decision based on facts rather than expectations
  • A "not devicide" option would be nice. I haven't decided yet
  • I'm going to play on EU anyway. I don't play on other regions with sub-par ping. No way.
  • I will be playing on US server anyway as I am playing with friends who live in Australia so we are all meeting in the middle
