If I am level 19 and my girlfriend is level 13 for example will I get some kind of compensation for helping out with quests? Like a share of the money she earns from quests or some form of xp boost?

Sorry friend, you really should solo quest until she hits about level 18. Try exploring with people around your own level for a little while, and see what's out there. It'll make you a better companion when she is finally ready to quest with you.
