Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!
For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

There's an interesting discussion going on in reddit about Choice vs. Agency in MMORPGs. WoW is the example (Boo) but I think the discussion is still a very interesting one.

Ashes appears to be implementing with Agency in mind but it's still fascinating as its something I've never really put into words or broke down from an MMO standpoint.

It has been my gripe for a few years about the industry in general, that "games" these days are often not actually games, at their core, because of this issue specifically.
I mean, that's the allure of Ashes, every choice will have an impact on the world itself. There will be more Agency in this game then we know what to do with. (Hopefully)
