Recieving enemy players heads on kill

Hey guys. I would like to ask your idea on recieving enemy heads in your inventory after killing them.

Eventually if you hover your mouse over the head it will display the name of the dead player, you could do some fun banter or just show people that you killed this specific player for proof. If people dont want it just delete/drop it, an option to toggle off recieving heads could also be a thing.

(The idea is from Life is feudal and was really fun even for non-RP)

PS: Again we dont want to put too much pressure on the devs, if its gonna be hard/problematic to implement just drop it.

  • I would be okay with a trophy falling on the death of a corrupted player but no one else. It would give some confirmations for bounty hunters.
  • What more clutter for no doubt already over stuffed bags. :)

How about if the person had a bounty and you collected it there is some sort of trophy or symbol displayed on your armour somewhere. That way your top bounty hunters would have the number of kills displayed for all to see.
  • I like that idea!
For headhunters to decorate their homes with the heads of the players they successfully hunted down, hell yea! For killing corrupt players this is definitely a great idea.

It's also very sweet of you to consider the devs, let's not overwork those amazing individuals ;)
  • head on spikes for the corrupted eh ?
  • I'm usually against things like this, but I like the concept.

I think, however, severed heads might be a bit Over the top.  I would love to see like a dog tag drop that had like

    Name
    Date Killed
    Killed by

on like an info tab.   So you could post your kills on your property.   Also, it would work with unofficial bounties like it did in Eve.   There were many times you'd pay for someone to get killed.  You'd pay more if they showed up with the corpse.

  • If you can take my head then I will drive you insane by singing early 2000 pop songs

I like the concept.. Though a simple record list, name, date, ect.. would be nice and simple. Perhaps if the list also included if the attack was unprovoked or not.
Not sure, but pretty sure I heard we will not be able to inspect one another. But i'd still like a list in a journal or something. If not. I'll keep my own list.. Old School pencil and paper style.
  • Brain: Nope sorry this seems over the top to be honest.

The thing deep inside me: Yes please a nagash skull goblet can finally be made.
  • UO had this.  Value Kinda dilutes itself over time as more and more deaths accumulate and it just adds to clutter.
  • while i personally think this idea is cool i can imagine some issues with it, mostly issues that parents would face :D
  • Note to self:  In character creation make the stupidest-looking head possible that nobody would want.
  • On an old Neverwinter Nights server if you killed another player you could loot their corpse, and if you choose you could take the entire corpse, which registers as a head and becomes an item in your inventory. This function was created by the DMs so that whenever you run across the corpse of a player, clerics could heal them back to life, or bring their head back to a temple and get them restored there. But this is an RP aspect of the game, and I am not sure if the devs will cater to this, given their already full schedule. It would be nice though, interesting idea nonetheless.
  • My first reaction is "ewww" and my other thought is inventory clutter.  Perhaps a log of some sort that provides a list for those that want it; but I would prefer an option to not have it.
  • Heads are heavy... Can I just take a tooth or something?

    Eve Online and corpses.
There used to be a few people who collected these. Now you would not believe me unless I can produce an image. BTW I never used to do this. I thought people who did this were sicko's

  • Blood for the blood god!
    Skulls for the Skull Throne
    Milk for the Khorne Flakes!!!!

I like that idea and would like to see it like it was in UO.

This I'm ok with.  I still remember playing some mods of Minecraft and ending up with hundreds of heads it's just annoying at the end of the day.  So I would so No outside of bounties.

Look back at games like UO. There are so many neat little things like this that were in that game that I could spend an hour listing them: Dye mixing, player written books, pick pocketing rogues, etc...

You don't see that stuff, much at all, anymore. Partly because some were just annoying and couldn't be balanced away from annoying and partly because Devs can't fit them into tight schedules anymore. There were interesting and immersion building though.

I agree that "heads" in bags would be a neat way for "proof of bounty" tokens. Probably useless or "off-putting" as simple trophy items.
