Will there be subscriptions plans for other countries without dolar's currency?

I haven't found much in the foruns regarding this topic so I decided to ask the question. Sorry if I have missed a similiar topic somwhere. I am aware that there is no confirmation of how the game will be, only rumors of a p2p sub system of 15 $ per month. I am brazilian myself and this game does interest me a lot, so I was wondering if there will be similiar subscription plans for countries that do not use dolar currency such as Brazil, like how WoW and SwTOR have.

  • Usually, games that use a subscription model use the US dollar as a baseline and then use whatever your equivalent is and I think this is what ashes is also planning
  • I see. And yeah, dolar usually is the base line. Currently 15$ is around 60 R$ for Brazilians. The monthly sub on WoW is 27 R$ atm, even though the raw conversation would be 60 R$. Oh well, I will have to hope they will be nice enough to don't use the raw conversation value XD Thanks for answering though ! ^^
  • woah, your country gets special treatment from WoW?

Must feel good!! I have to pay full price subs on all games even though we don't earn in dollars xD
  • I want to know how many shark's teeth or shell beads I have to trade for a month's playtime.

Still plenty of time before launch to get in some good work at the diamond mines.

If this game was from Bethesda they might take bottlecaps.
  • I assume if the game gets wider distribution they would work with a localization company to cut costs,(basically licensing the game to be sold for them) usually that company has a unique strategy for their business model. Could be pretty annoying depending on how they decide to make their money. This isn't your typical company so that might change, but it might not. Its just something that could happen.
