Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

    I have the same type of hype as I did for No Man's Lie so . . . that one fact discourages me about this game, BUT on the other end the dev team is going above and beyond what hello games ever did to show off the game so we know what we are getting.

    Why go on hype? Just watch the gameplay. They're literally showing off what's happening right now.

    I haven't played an MMORPG in about 10 years and all the ones to come out have looked and felt the same. I haven't seen a game that has such lofty promises and have put the money and manpower. The closest thing that I've seen with such unique ideas has been EQNext but even then that game never came close to getting off the ground floor. AoC has been different. They're showing a level of progress that has me optimistic. They have all the features of the perfect MMORPG. 200 employees and putting $30 Million+ behind the project has me believing the hype, but I'm optimistic about it. I got hyped for EQN and that fell apart...well before it even got started though. AoC has come further than that but they seem much more realistic on meeting those goals imo. There's still a lot to get done but everything I've seen so far has all been good.


    So is the hype real? It is...until it isn't and in 2 years it hasn't shown that it isn't yet. So that's good. Going into testing is going to be a big achievement.

    I'm just amazed of what they have done in a year, so much progress from Alpha 0 to this BR mode. I was completely astonished when I managed to play a couple of matches at the detail in the environments and how playable the alpha actually was!

    Exactly this. As it stands now my hype has subsided somewhat with the BR that is going on. My true hunger is to see the MMO take shape with all of its glorious systems being implemented, will be in there testing every spare minute.

    But that's at least 6 months away.

    Not really, the combat looks like fortnite and i hate fortnite. The ideas of what the game devs want to do with this game sounds is cool but right now all I see is a discount fortnite wanna be. Non Pay to Win? YEEEEEAAAH will see if they hold true on that after the game has been released and been out for a year+. Subscription I like but can this game bring in and KEEP a substantial enough player base for years to come? Who knows, the only  two games that have survived so far is WOW and Final Fantasy and those had bases well before their MMO equivalent came out. So am I Hyped: No, Interested: Yes.
