Node caravan question

I know theres no corruption for attackn caravan but if your attackn a node caravan so your most likely killing npcs guarding it (there for no players are witnessing who is the attacker). So im curious if the mayor/king of that node gets informed of who attacked it and if there is any way for them to take action towards those who attacked it because they ruined a trade between nodes (such as placing a bounty on their heads or merely informing their citizens/neighboring nodes that a thief is on the road)

  • I am interested in knowing would would happen as well if any of the devs working on the game could clarify on this it would be apricated

Notifications have not been clarified at this point in such detail. They have said that there will be pure npc caravans and player-generated ones. Players would of course be able to let others know when they come under attack through the various chats. With no fast travel mechanics, reaction to events will be a local thing.
  • I did read somewhere that players can be put on a "black list" by the governing body of a node to answer part of rhe question.
  • You can be made an Enemy of the State if it is known that you are doing dastardly things in an area.

Which makes you free game inside that ZOI.

Probably only to that Node's citizens

As far as knowing about stuff with some all-knowing magical crystal ball?  Probably not.

If you don't send PCs out there to defend your caravan and it gets jacked, you probably won't know who did it.  They want to put the players back in MMORPG.
  • Mild clarification based on my understanding (which has proven wrong in the past!).

I don't think that it would make the player who attacked the caravan 'free game in that node' but rather free game in the Zone of Influence.  For a village, that would be the node, for a town/city it could include adjacent nodes, for the metropolis, it might extend quite some ways.

  • All caravans not operated or guarded by actual PC's should never make it to their destination. They of course could if nobody interferes, but that would be a huge failure of those that like PvP, those that are into Node vs. Node mechanics, those who are manipulating nodes through economic measures, and anyone who notices an NPC guarded caravan w/out a player.

Collectively of course, it would not be the fault of just one of those groups.

    ...imo.
  • Well the only way to find out is to witness who killed who imo, besides giving the mayors the ability to place bounties would at some point be 'I dont like you, have a bounty' situtation.
  • If your mayor is dodgy, then remove them through one of the various mechanics put in place. If they create an enemies list that you disagree with, then vote, kill, buy, or serve your way to mayor instead of them.
