  • Yeah its a problem they are having it seems. Just have t wait till the come online to fix it
  • This test encompasses many more people and they wanted to test back end systems so maybe the server needs a tweak ;)

I'm going to go with this reason:

"4] Are you using CloudFare like services? While services like CloudFare are free for basic usage, they start dropping requests once you’ve reached a certain limit CloudFlare will return a 502 Bad Gateway error to your visitors. If you are using anything similar, make sure to check on error logs or notifications from these services."

run a tracert on ashesofcreation.com shows cloudflare in the path.  In fact, I just noticed it's credited on the error page.  Just a guess, but in any case, nothing anyone can resolve outside of intrepid.

They are still working on it but it seems to be working a bit better for some people
  • there's a second crash but Steven and the team are working on the resolution of this second crash.
  • So I was able to register, got the confirmation email, but never got the email with downloading instructions.  Anyone else have that issue?

    yes.
  • Don't know if this is still an issue, but I just started using my previous alpha tester UN and PW and it allowed me to log in - currently downloading
  • I cant even register as my email is not available??? Couple this with a host failure = not a good test start  and not happy.
  • The test ended about ten to twenty minutes ago so you probably can't register because the time has passed.

Same, in a way. Registered yesterday and  downloaded it. Now it is not reading my login, shows the wheel to log in then stops and asks for my login info. The rare chance i do get in, my queue time runs over 1h. Tried duo and squads same thing. tried closing client and i cant get in again. This has happened all weekend and havent been able to play. At all. Pretty Frustrating that I didnt get to play but payed for it....

Were you in the Discord? There were specific times and ways to queue. Certain points you were supposed to only queue for squads on NA West. If you don't follow the protocols during testing, don't expect stuff to work. Also, if you are ever in a queue for longer than 10 minutes, exit and restart. Just randomly clicking play in a closed alpha stress test(was only available to A1 and A2 package holders) without following real time instructions from the people running those tests will lead to a "failed consumer expectation" experience. Also, if you thought you "bought" bug free access as part of those packages you should have done some more in depth research as to the stated plan before plunking down your shekels.
  • Ranting - Just saying whenever I see post of someone complaining about something wrong with alpha or some sort of early release of a incomplete part of a game is sort of ironic.

It's also kind of sad sometimes releases retain the same state of a testing phase game.

Not really specifically pointing at anyone particularly but, as general observation the past.

  • I was a little frustrated too because the window for being able to get in today was so small, and the official times given in Discord were not accurate (in the sense that Steven estimated when it would be available, but they couldn't meet that; I'm sure they were trying).  Unfortunately I can't afford to literally sit for hours waiting for the server to come up so I can log in quickly and test.

I know it's an early alpha and I'm not owed anything.  I'm not frustrated because I feel cheated or anything.  I don't even enjoy the "game" at this stage; it's boring and not fun.  I just get frustrated because I like the idea that my participation can provide information that will help work out bugs and such, and I can't participate. :(

Just FYI, asking for help is not the same as complaining. :)

I wasn't talking about you. I just talking about the ones that is. Just sort of decided to post in your discussion to talk about those topics.
