We have world chat, group chat, guild chat, zone chat, etc.

I would like to have a friend chat.  This can send a message to people on my friends list.  

I want to ask my friends to group up for dungeons, trials, raids, events, etc.  In most games I have to send single tells to each person.  It would be nice to have a general chat for my friends list.

    I would think that we will get private chats with our friends, and if you want to talk with them then why not make a guild? 
    Battle.net now has "Groups", where you can make a chatroom with your friends, so that is something IS could look into^^

    In EQ2 you can create chat rooms, name them, and then invite whoever you want to that chat; so hopefully we will be able to do the same in Ashes.
