You choose one of 8 primary classes, and combine it with a secondary class (your primary and secondary can be the same), for 64 possible classes.

Ranger/Mage, Fighter/Summoner, Cleric/Cleric, etc.

We've got quite a few classes. It will be interesting to see if Intrepid is able to balance them properly, or if they're even interested in balancing them (for example, in FFXI, all classes are designed to shine in only some, while in FFXIV, all classes are designed to be good at all content).

As somebody who has tanked at a world-first level in other games and knows just how crazy the early theorycrafting can be, it will be very interesting to see how the meta forms and reacts to all these possible classes.

Mage/mage, as for race whichever grants me the best stats
