Will the normal path and legendary path share exp?

I am curious if the 2 paths have shares exp gains. For example I gain exp and make lvl and that lvl unlocks the rewards for both in the same time? 
Also if I lvl up to 25 or 50 with only the nornal path and then I buy the legendary patch do I get all thw rewards retroactive? 

To be honest I sometimes feel that these types of announcements need to be more detailed and explicite. High hopes for the new community manager.

    As far as I am aware, yes that is the case, as soon as you purchase the legendary path it automatically gives you the rewards appropriate to your level.
