Are transparent avatars popular?

probably would look weird with mid opacity forums and green/sandy background behind that.

You did see the odd one back in the day but the background then was solid black

So this forum was born for big guys with non-transparent avatar like me

Mine is a good example for ya. i tend to like them.

i like them, but only if they are able to fit all backgrounds. They can be rough to make sometimes. @belewyn has an amazing one.

Maybe for signatures, but for characters unless it’s vibrant it can be very difficult to see

I never saw a transparent avatar.

Of course if it’s really transparent then nobody can see it.

Avatars with Transparency can look quite nice in this forum.
