Like dota 2 (steam) has the workshop, Intrepid can build something simillar. The Creation community is full of talented members that just need a chance to shine.
Let the community make anything from character customization, pets, house etc.
Let them chose how much their items will cost (that way you avoid negative feedback from player's), and you get between 30-40% cut/item sold.
Make a voting system in the forum or the workshop, that only top 20 most voted items will be included each month.
I have more ideas on how to make the workshop a plus for the community.

If they keep it all in house, ie through Ashes websites rather than steam, and they get a cut of all of the money spent on purchases, it'll only free up the designers / artists etc to work on more complex designs that are beyond our level of expertise.
They would have the ability to censor inappropriate designs or those that they felt would not be of up to the standard of their game.
I'd love to be able to work on 'alternative' clothing and items that have historic precsidence, but that we have yet to see appear in artwork. (Theres just far too much for the artists to concentrate on to cover everything with their exceptional work!)
