So I'm taking a real shot at deciphering this. "Don't delay the game just to rework and fix the net code issues. Guild Wars 2 has about 200 people on the screen at the lowest settings. At higher quality settings, this count is even lower on a single map. (kinda guessing) With the state of technology being what it's at now, if this game is released in 2022, since it was developed with today's technology, less people will be likely to play it. It is possible that some virtual reality game that is developed with the tech at that time will be more popular. At a 2022 release, the game quality will be low when compared to what the advancing PC technology will be to handle.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you're trying to say but I'll give you my answer regardless.

Intrepid is not rebuilding any game as of right now, they're creating it. Should the game be put in a bad place either due to in-game systems not working or the community not being satisfied and neglecting the game, I would want the team to consider rebuilding it. It shows commitment to not only the genre, but also the playerbase

In short the OP is saying don’t delay on making the game because game technology will be different in 2 years.
I disagree though, I’ve been playing video games for a long time and out of every genre MMOs take way too long to come out and way too long to die. Most of the mmos I have played are still around and I’m pretty sure VR tech will not really affect the MMO market.
I think VR is awesome I have owned a vive since they were released but I unfortunately don’t think there will ever be a serious mmo going VR. MMOs and most games will try to cater to a large group of people and potato computer users will always be a thing tack on a very expensive set of equipment to use VR and you lessen the pool of potential buyers.
Though I do wish AoC was out soon it would only be so I could play it not because of some inevitable doom for the game because of rising technology.

i can understand you dude my english is messed up too.
unless some miracle happens that can speed up rendering, dont have hopes for perfect graphics and framerate in a MMO with many players.. however with Ashes being made with the latest tech it would be safe to assume they make the best of what is possible right now. imo gw2 did that pretty well in theyr own engine. aint nobody want to see shiney dots of wepons while blobs move over the map. VR is just a meme tho
like who got nerves to sit with a headset on playing a trick on your own brain for hours a day XD

They aren't rebuilding the game, they are still initially building it.

They are rebuilding the back end because it doesn't work.

Cant' just rush out a game when you need it to be stable for 250 vs 250 (well 500 vs 500 was what was originally promised)

On a serious note. For what I understood from your post, I prefer Intrepid not to rush the game and let them fix whatever they need to on the back end.
