Easy Anti Cheat not installed

Description
When I try to start the game from the launcher, I get "Easy Anti Cheat not installed" error message. The launcher then quits.

Bug Reproduction Steps
Start the launcher from Steam. Start the game.

Expected Result
Expected game to start.

Bug Report - Actual Result
I get "Easy Anti Cheat not installed" error message.

    Just to add, following advice on the Steam discussions about this I downloaded another game with EAC (couldn't find binaries directly from the site) and just installed that version. Looking into the folder of Ashes, the actual binaries for EAC doesn't seem to be included with the download, seems like they aren't included.

    I tried earlier to re-download the launcher, and download all the files again.

    Hi, I also can't start the game by getting this message. I first installed the launcher from the website and then tried to get it from steam. Both doesn't fit and results in the same message

    As a workaround in the meantime, you can install EAC from another source like by downloading fortnite.
