Players will be protected from being killed by other players

If a player attacks and kills you, without you fighting back, that player is marked as a murderer.
They become a free to kill target to other players.
For many hours these players will not be able to interact with NPCs.
Guard npcs will kill them.
For many hours players will lose their gear upon death.

PvP does not mean that pvpers will run around looking to kill every player on sight outside of towns

    We do not need another pvp thread... I say this now but i'm gonna go buy some popcorn and come back here in a week and see 60 replies and 4 different arguments with neither side providing any concrete evidence or logical arguments and just bashing each other.

    This was put up to minimize people worrying about the way PvP will happen in the game. It's also nice having those links to the PvP videos for people who join the community in the future. I myself didn't know some important information in the corruption system. The stuff I learned today should hopefully keep things from going completely out of control. If I have PvP problems when trying to do something I will either try to get help in town or try again at 3:00 AM.

    That is why people should read thinks like the ashesofcreation.wiki .....
    This seems to be the same just with more steps.
